Anantapur Urban MLA Daggubati Venkateswara Prasad has said Yuva Galam, the padayatra taken up by TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh before elections two years back, has rejuvenated the party cadre.

The MLA along with party district president Venkatasivudu Yadav participated in the celebrations held at the party office on the occasion of completion of two years of Yuva Galam padayatra. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Venkateswara Prasad said Mr. Lokesh had undertaken the yatra to put an end to the then undemocratic YSRC government. The yatra went on successfully even as the then government created several impediments to the padayatra, he said and added that the then government did not even allow the yatra organisers to erect stages for Mr. Lokesh to address the gatherings.

“The Yuva Galam padayatra has given us new strength and we worked hard for the party to get back to power. It is only because of Yuva Galam that the TDP alliance has come back to power winning 164 seats,” he asserted.

Speaking on the recent visit of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu to Davos to attract investments, the MLA said the previous government had failed to bring a single industry or jobs to the State. “Mr. Chandrababu Naidu, on the other hand, had attracted ₹7 lakh crore investment to the State in just seven months,” he said.
