This introduction is expected to align with the Mi Fan Festival scheduled for April. Sources indicate that Xiaomi’s CEO, Lei Jun, has established an ambitious target for the glasses, aiming for shipment volumes of at least 300,000 units.

The new AI glasses are designed to compete with Meta’s Ray-Ban offerings, incorporating both artificial intelligence features and advanced hardware specifications.

As reported by “Intelligent Emergence,” Xiaomi’s AI glasses will include a range of state-of-the-art technology modules, such as AI integration, audio headphone components, and camera systems, all intended to directly challenge Meta’s sophisticated eyewear collection.

Importantly, this new device is expected to be marketed under Xiaomi’s main brand, representing a significant advancement in the company’s growth within the wearable technology sector. Other firms, including OPPO, Vivo, Huawei, Tencent, and ByteDance, are also investigating opportunities in the AI glasses arena, although reports suggest that their initiatives are still in the preliminary development phase.

Many industry analysts predict that these other technology leaders will begin unveiling their AI glasses closer to late 2025. Concurrently, various Chinese companies are advancing their own innovative eyewear products; for example, Meizu has launched several smart glasses, while Baidu’s newly announced “Xiaodu AI Glasses” are set to enter the market in early 2025.
