On this occasion, the technology leader Apple has provided valuable advice on improving your overall well-being through the use of the Apple Watch, iPhone, and iPad.
The State of Mind functionality available on iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch enables users to monitor their emotions and daily moods. It provides valuable insights into potential influences on mood, such as sleep patterns, physical activity, and various lifestyle elements.
On the iPhone and iPad, users have the opportunity to engage with the same assessments for depression and anxiety that are commonly utilized in clinical settings to evaluate their risk levels. These results can be shared with healthcare providers to facilitate more informed discussions.
With the Apple Watch, individuals can monitor their exposure to daylight through the ambient light sensor, and this information is accessible in the Health app. Additionally, for family members who use a managed Apple Watch, it is possible to track their daylight exposure as well.
The Journal app enables users to document and reflect on both everyday experiences and significant events in their lives, allowing for the inclusion of photos, videos, audio recordings, locations, and more to create vivid memories.
On-device machine learning offers personalized suggestions to inspire journal entries, while customizable notifications assist in cultivating writing habits.
The Focus feature is designed to minimize distractions and establish boundaries. When concentration is required, users can select from preset Focus options such as Work, Personal, or Sleep, or they can create a custom setting.
With Focus activated, all notifications can be muted, or only those pertinent to the task at hand can be allowed. Others will be notified that their alerts are silenced, yet they can still contact you in case of an emergency.
Furthermore, Focus can be scheduled to activate at specific times, when in designated locations, or upon opening certain applications. If linked to the Lock Screen, it can be easily enabled by swiping to that screen.
Happy World Mental Health Day! Today is a reminder that It’s okay to not be okay, to ask for help, to take a break, to not have everything figured out, and to say no. 🌿
