Windsor police issue arrest warrant for suspect in violent robbery

Windsor police are looking for a suspect responsible for an assault in the city’s east end that left one man seriously injured.

Officers responded to the 5200 block of Tecumseh Road East at around 9 a.m. on Thursday after a man was found in an alley with life-threatening injuries. 

The victim was rushed to the hospital and remains in intensive care. 

Police said the victim had been severely assaulted by another man after the pair left a nearby establishment together around 2:30 a.m. Surveillance footage obtained by police showed the suspect striking the victim multiple times in the head.

A warrant has been issued for Charles Leighton Taylor Pinnace, 34, who is wanted on charges of aggravated assault and robbery with violence.

Pinnace is described as a Black male, around five feet 10 inches tall, weighing roughly 200 pounds. He has black dreadlocks and brown eyes. 

Police said he should be considered dangerous. If you recognize him, do not approach him yourself and call 911 immediately.
