Composer and jazz pianist Duke Ellington will be celebrated Sunday during a Windsor Jazz series concert featuring The Paul Keller Quintet.
American bassist Paul Keller brings his combo of top players — Anthony Stanco on trumpet, James Huges on sax, Scott Kretzer on drums and Mike Karlott on piano — to celebrate jazz’s greatest composer.
Ellington was a musical pioneer who generated an extensive body of work over his 50-year career, composing more than 1,000 arrangements. He was best known as an originator of “big band” jazz.
