, MCU miniseries Agatha All Along, where Kathryn Hahn reprises her iconic Agatha Harkness, and the story picks up the aftermath of WandaVision, finally met its conclusion in a two-episode finale just a day before Halloween. And fans can’t keep calm. By the time we arrive at episode 8, only Agatha, Billy, and Jen remain to solve the final trial but unfortunately, one of them dies (We won’t reveal who).
But the shocker continues in episode 9 which unveils Agatha’s dark past along with her son Nicholas Scratch’s origin story. Though she’s a wicked witch, it’s confirmed she didn’t trade her son for the Book of the Damned. The truth is far away from the rumour but looking at her capacity to kill witches we’re not complaining why Agatha is hated in the community.
Ever since the inception of Agatha All Along, the show has successfully made it to memes, TikTok, and reels, thereby garnering a loyal fanbase. But is the surging popularity enough for Agatha All Along getting a second season?
Well, showrunner Jac Schaeffer told Decider, “With this show, we wanted to tell a complete story, and I hope that we did. But as a fan and as an admirer, I believe that there is so much more story to tell about all of these characters.” In a separate interview, executive producer Brad Winderbaum told ScreenRant, “You know, when you have an icon like Kathryn Hahn has brought to the screen with Agatha you just want to see more of her.” Though nothing has materialized on paper, Winderbaum confirmed, “Yes, there will be more Agatha in the future of the MCU.”
Marvel theorists suggest Agatha All Along, which was always billed as a limited series, might not return for season two. However, the stories of certain characters will likely be continued in VisionQuest, another MCU limited series, where actor Paul Bettany is set to return as his synthetic Marvel robot and we might also get to watch Tommy in the show.
