Dubai, dubbed the jewel of the United Arab Emirates, is a city that captures the world’s attention with its unique blend of cultural diversity, ultramodern architecture, and profound infrastructure. Luxury and opulence are found in abundance here, and the place seamlessly fuses the futuristic cityscape with its timeless beauty of desert, but that’s not all; Dubai is also one of the safest places in the entire world, and Kris Fade agrees with it.

In an exciting episode of ‘The Dubai Journey’ powered by KIA, the multi-talented radio and reality TV personality, spoke at length about his life in the UAE right from juggling through fatherhood to entrepreneurship. Kris Fade was joined by Mashable Middle East host Ranvijay Singha, as they took over Dubai streets riding a KIA EV9.

Kris made a conscious choice to stay in Dubai

Well, not many know Kris Fade began working merely at the age of 14 and his first job was making milkshakes and smoothies in a cafe. It all started with his humble beginnings and eventually, he managed to make it big in the radio circle. But when Kris decided to relocate to Dubai 16 years ago, he had no clue he was going to remain in the city for so long. “I did tell my parents in Sydney where I grew up in Australia I said ‘I’ll be gone for a couple of years, Mom and Dad, I’ll be back. I’ll be back. I’ll just go and uh get a bit of experience and yeah 16 years later I’m still here and it’s out of choice.”

There’s no concern for safety in Dubai

Kris Fade, who is a father of two beautiful daughters and a son, feels reassured as a parent in Dubai. “There’s nothing like this city right now that makes me feel at home and the safety of it and just everything that it has to offer,” he said.

“I know that when my girls are out at the mall or when they’re with their friends I have zero fear that something bad could have happened,” he added.

Kris Fade has experienced the bitter taste of feeling lost

The Australian-Lebanese radio presenter doesn’t take his success for granted because he has tasted failure ample times in life. Kris shares he couldn’t make it to college because he was bad at school. And his initial experience in the radio world wasn’t quite good. Kris applied for a radio promotion job, where he was made to do ridiculous stunts like taking his shirt off and getting people to stick biscuits on him.

“In my life and in my journey I have felt lost so many times. Even today there will be moments where I feel lost and even though I have quote-unquote success and I have good money and I’ve got my cars and my house, you sometimes feel lost and that’s okay, it’s okay to feel lost.”

In between sharing life experiences, Kris also branded his stunning ride in KIA EV9 a “game changer” after being impressed with its futuristic design, advanced safety features, battery power, and an impressive all-electric range of 497 KM.

‘The Dubai Journey’ ended on a funny note with Ranvijay Singha completing his punishment of 25 push-ups after failing a KIA challenge.
