Swiggy launched a dedicated app called ‘Snacc’ that will deliver beverages, snacks, tiffin items, and meals in 10 to 15 minutes.

The new Snacc app is available for download on the Google Play store.

“Introducing SNACC by Swiggy: Your Go-To for Quick Bites, Beverages, and Home-Style Meals Delivered in 10 Minutes! Craving comforting home-style food or a quick snack? This app brings a delightful array of freshly prepared dishes and beverages straight to your doorstep in just 10 minutes,” stated Snacc’s app profile.

Though users might expect just some drinks and ready-to-eat bites from a 10-minute food delivery service, Snacc reported a variety of options such as coffee, tiffin items, pasta bowls, rice dishes, noodles, Indian breakfast dishes, soup, momos, and more.

Users can enjoy a complimentary chocolate cookie and free delivery for their first order on a minimum order value of ₹149.

While some sections of the Snacc app’s page noted that the orders would be delivered in 10 minutes, others said 15 minutes.

Swiggy also offers the Instamart quick-commerce service that delivers groceries and similar household goods in just a few minutes.

Food delivery apps such as Zomato and Swiggy are working to grow their presence in the quick commerce market, taking on players such as Blinkit and Dunzo.

However, labour unions and activists have raised concerns about the unstable nature of gig work, the lack of sufficient compensation for drivers who work long hours, and the increased risk of traffic accidents as customers expect even non-essential items to be delivered in a matter of minutes.
