Suggest mechanism to redress complaints of animal attack victims, says Kerala HC

The Kerala High Court has asked the State government to come up with a proposal to redress the grievances of victims of animal and reptile attacks. The court issued the direction on a writ petition seeking directions to permit the Siri Jagan Committee, which was constituted to decide on compensation to victims of street dog attacks, to continue functioning. The court, which impleaded the Kerala State Legal Services Authority (KSLSA), asked the State government to file the report before January 9, when the court will consider the case next.
