‘Squid Game’ 2’s Wi Ha-jun opens up on returning as Hwang Jun-ho: ‘I did feel a lot of pressure’

Wi Ha-jun returned as Hwang Jun-ho in the second season of ‘Squid Game‘, winning hearts worldwide. In part two, Jun-ho is a police detective who goes undercover as a guard to find his brother, Hwang In-ho, who is actually the Front Man running the games.

In a recent interview with PTI, Wi Ha-jun opened up about returning as Jun-ho, saying, “Because the first season of ‘Squid Game’ became such a big success, I did feel a lot of pressure. Jun-ho is featured a lot in episode one and two of the second season, so I thought he is in responsible for opening the show and I have to perform well.”

Ha-jun went on to add that he was ‘happy to be back as him’.

“As I become more and more known to the global audiences, I believe my responsibility as a person and actor increases and this is a great motivation for me,” he added.

In ‘Squid Game‘ second season, Lee Jung-jae’s character, Seung Gi-hun, returns to the games to warn participants about its deadly nature and put an end to everything. Wi Ha-jun’s character teams up with Gi-hun to stop the ‘Squid Games‘ and find his brother at the same time. Will they be successful? It will be revealed in the third and final season of ‘Squid Game‘.

Apart from Wi Ha-jun, Lee Jung-jae, and Lee Byung-hun, Park Gyu-young, Yim Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Park Sung-hoon, Jo Yu-ri, and Kang Ae-shim will also return in season 3.

The final season will be released this year.
