It wasn’t long ago that ‘Love is Blind, Habibi’ couple Chafic and Dounia explained why they refrained from tying the knot on the Netflix dating show. The youngest lovebirds wanted to give their relationship some time and get to know each other better before taking the massive step, and now, they’re finally ready to be hitched. Yes, it’s ringing wedding bells for Chafic and Dounia.
Almost, a year after filming the social experiment, where Arab singles connected and committed to marriage sight unseen, Chafic went down on his knees again. In a romantic gesture full of heart cakes and flowers, the male suitor proposed to his ladylove at Banyan Tree Dubai, and needless to say “she said yes again.”
And Oh, what a proposal it was. Twinning and winning, the couple looked like a vision in white as the camera recorded their special moment. Chafic and Dounia shared a catalogue of photos on Instagram, one was a zoomed-in glimpse of the diamond ring, another saw Chafic keeping his ladylove close, and in more stunning moments the two appear madly in love with each other.
Previously, Dounia shared on the Hikmat Wehbi podcast that she didn’t want to get married on ‘Love is Blind, Habibi’ because, “I wanted to see him in different situations with me. For me, it wasn’t enough – the short time we spent together. I wanted to see who Chafic is in different circumstances with Dounia. I’m really glad that we took our time.”
Well all’s well that ends well. Now, we are desperately waiting for the wedding photos.
