Serious crash closes stretch of Manning Road

A two-vehicle crash in Tecumseh claimed the life of a 61-year-old on Wednesday.

A dump truck and a passenger vehicle collided on Manning Road between Baseline Road and Walls Road at around noon.

Ontario Provincial Police reported that one driver, an adult from Kingsville, was transported to hospital and later pronounced deceased.

Manning Road is closed between County Road 42 and Walls Road while members of the OPP traffic incident management and enforcement team assist with the investigation.

Police have asked drivers to avoid the area.
