Samsung has declared that the beta version of its forthcoming Android 15-based operating system update, known as One UI 7, will be accessible to all users, rather than being limited to developers. This announcement was made during the Samsung Developer Conference (SDC) 2024, which took place in San Jose on October 4.

A key feature of One UI 7 is a redesigned home screen grid, which the company describes as being more streamlined and user-friendly. In response to an inquiry on the Samsung Community forum (as reported by Android Authority), the Beta Moderator confirmed that the One UI 7 beta will be available to the general public.
However, the timeline for its release has yet to be disclosed. Once the rollout commences, users will receive notifications through the Samsung Members app. While the public release of One UI beta updates is not unprecedented, this clarification enhances the information provided during Samsung’s SDC 2024, which initially indicated that the update would be available solely for developers later this year.
The official launch of the One UI 7 operating system is anticipated for the following year.
Samsung has announced that its forthcoming Galaxy S series, commonly referred to as the Galaxy S25 series, will be the inaugural devices to utilize this technology. This launch is anticipated to occur in early 2025, aligning with the release schedule of the Galaxy S24 series, which was introduced in January of this year.
One UI 7 will integrate Android 15 into Samsung smartphones. Although the new Android operating system was launched last month, only a select few original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), including Vivo, iQOO, and Nothing, have made it available for their devices.

According to the South Korean technology giant, One UI 7 is built around three fundamental principles: purposeful simplicity, a distinctive impression, and emotional connection. It is designed to reduce complexity while facilitating task completion. The operating system has been revamped to provide a more streamlined appearance and enhanced consistency.
