The Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry remains estranged from his brother William, the Prince of Wales, and also faces a strained relationship with father King Charles. The royal rift is far from mending ever since Harry and Meghan Markle’s 2020 tell-all interview with Oprah and Meghan’s separate bombshell interview with The Cut in 2022.
To top it all, the Sussexes’ Netflix docuseries Harry & Meghan, released December 2022, caused the British royal family to spiral down even more. Since then things haven’t been the best for the royal ties of Prince Harry, who is currently in London, UK. On Monday, the Duke of Sussex attended the 2024 WellChild Awards ceremony. But in the midst of tense relations thawing between him and royal members, it appears Harry won’t see his father and brother.
A report by People indicates, Harry’s UK itinerary doesn’t include any plan of meeting King Charles and Prince William. This comes only months after Prince Harry’s visit to the UK in May for an anniversary service commemorating 10 years of his Invictus Games. Even during that visit, Harry didn’t meet his family members but People reports he did extend invitations to his father and brother ahead of the May event.
It is suggested Harry’s calls and letters to his father go unanswered amid a strained equation, likewise, texts, calls, and messages sent to William are also ignored.
It was in 2020 when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle gave away their royal titles and stepped back from their roles as working members of the British royal family. Since then they’ve relocated to Markle’s home country in California, USA.
