AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami on Monday criticised the DMK government over an incident in Ranipet district, where a petrol bomb was hurled into SIPCOT police station.

He also criticised Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin for defending the law and order situation in the State. The incident only showed that not even a police station was safe enough under the DMK government, Mr. Palaniswami said, adding that those responsible must be brought to book.

AMMK founder T.T.V. Dhinakaran too criticised the DMK government over the incident contending that this showed how even the police personnel were not safe. Under the DMK government, incidents of robbery and offences against women were increasing every other day, he said.
