OnePlus 13 is set to launch in China later this month, although the precise date has yet to be officially announced. A recent teaser from Qualcomm, the chip manufacturer, hints at the potential chipset that will be featured in the forthcoming OnePlus device.

It appears that the OnePlus 13 will be equipped with the new Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, also referred to as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC.
Qualcomm has released a new video on the official microsite for the upcoming Snapdragon Summit, which teases the introduction of the new Snapdragon 8 chipset. The video indicates that the forthcoming chipset will incorporate Oryon cores, a technology also utilized in the Snapdragon X chips that drive the latest Copilot+ PCs.
These Oryon cores are expected to deliver significant enhancements in both performance and energy efficiency. Additionally, the video showcases a smartphone featuring a circular camera island, which is believed to be a prototype closely resembling the design of the OnePlus 13.
This prototype showcases OnePlus’s distinctive camera module positioned in the top-left corner, echoing the design aesthetics of the OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 11.
Louis Lee, the President of OnePlus China, shared a teaser video for the new Snapdragon 8 chip on his Weibo account, indicating that the OnePlus 13 is poised to be the first smartphone globally to feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC.
This new chipset is set to be unveiled on October 22 at the Snapdragon Summit in Maui, Hawaii. According to previous leaks, the OnePlus 13 is expected to sport a 6.82-inch LTPO BOE X2 micro quad curved OLED display with a 2K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It is anticipated to offer configurations of up to 24GB of RAM and as much as 1TB of internal storage.

Furthermore, the OnePlus 13 is likely to include a triple rear camera system, highlighted by a 50-megapixel LYT-808 main camera. The camera arrangement may also feature a 50-megapixel ultra-wide sensor and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom capabilities.
