Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have reportedly been invited to the UK by Prince William and Kate Middleton. However, the Duchess of Sussex has set forth ‘two demands’ before she reconciles with the Prince and Princess of Wales.
Royal expert Tom Quinn suggests that Meghan isn’t ready to leave the past unless her demands are fulfilled. In an interview with The Mirror, Quinn said, “Harry would like a reconciliation but supports his wife completely and until she feels that the royal family have been sufficiently nice to her and grovelingly apologized for the past – its not going to happen.”
Quinn further said that he believes the Duchess of Sussex might be holding Harry back from proposing an “olive branch” to Prince William and Kate Middleton, despite latter’s cancer diagnosis. The royal expert added that there has been a slight shift since Kate’s illness as the Sussexes feel they should mend the broken relationships, but Meghan’s “sense of grievance is still preventing anything really meaningful happening.”
“There is no way Meghan would bring the children to the UK. William and Kate have suggested that Meghan and Kate bring the children and that the couples and their families try to make up, but the suggestion is not leading anywhere so far,” added Quinn.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped down from their royal duties in 2020. Post that, they have made several shocking claims against the royal family members in their tell-all documentary and Oprah interview. In 2023, Prince Harry released his memoir ‘Spare’ in which he made several claims against his brother, including alleging that Prince William physically attacked him during an argument.
