In 2013, Margot Robbie delivered a terrific performance as Naomi Lapaglia in ‘Wolf of Wall Street‘. She starred opposite Leonardo DiCaprio in Martin Scorsese’s directorial film. A decade later Robbie has opened up about slapping her co-star Leonardo during the final audition for the film.

The particular scene required Robbie to kiss Leonardo, but she surprised everyone by slapping him instead. “I thought, I could kiss Leonardo DiCaprio right now, and that would be awesome. I can’t wait to tell all of my friends. And then I thought… nah. And just walloped him in the face. It was dead silence for what felt like an eternity but was probably three seconds,” said Robbie, as per Deadline.

What happened next? Everyone including Leonardo and Martin were ‘laughing so hard’ and thought that it was ‘great’. However, Robbie worried she would get ‘arrested’ and ruin her career due to the incident.

In addition to this, Robbie also revealed that it was her decision to strip completely naked for a particular scene in the film. While director Scorsese had told her she could wear a robe to make herself comfortable, Robbie stated that it was her idea to go fully nude. She explained, “The whole point is that she’s (Naomi) is going to come out completely naked – that’s the card she’s playing. That’s not what she would do in that scene if she wasn’t in control.”

Robbie was last seen in Greta Gerwig’s ‘Barbie‘. The actress will be next seen in Kogonada’s directorial film ‘A Big Bold Beautiful Journey‘.
