The Manitoba government is set to give an update on the search for remains at the Prairie Green Landfill on Monday morning.

Premier Wab Kinew and Amna Mackin, project management lead for the search, will be speaking at a news conference at 11:30 a.m. CTV News Winnipeg will live-stream the event.

In late October, CTV News Winnipeg reported the search efforts were underway for the remains of Morgan Harris and Marcedes Myran.

Manitoba has a five-step plan for the search process and was in stage three earlier in the fall.

The fourth stage, which is expected to start this month, involves excavation of the target area where the remains are believed to be.

This is a developing story. More details to come.
