Ammar, a dentist by profession, fell in love with Karma during the pod segment of ‘Love is Blind, Habibi’. They were the first couple to be engaged and it appeared as though they might end up tying the knot until a major disagreement led to their break up. Ammar, who branded himself a “traditional” and conservative Arab man, took an issue with Karma’s professional choice of being a belly dancer.

“I don’t accept it in any shape or form, not any type of dancing… Look at it my way. Because you’d be my wife and partner. You can’t do anything that I don’t approve of or don’t like,” he told Karma on the show. While fans accept people setting boundaries for choosing a life partner, what they don’t agree with is being toxic and demanding something from your partner without compromise.

Ammar’s antics on ‘Love is Blind, Habibi’ has irked fans tremendously and many have taken to social media to call him a “walking red flag.”

A user on X wrote, “I am never wrong when it comes to pointing out a man’s red flag. I called it from the first episode that Ammar is a mad man.”

A section of fans are also calling out Ammar’s hypocrisy noting that he wanted to stop Karma from dancing to the point that he walked away from the relationship. However, he was seen dancing at his friend’s bachelor party in the finale. A fan wrote, “The hypocrisy in this man Ammar! The man who loathes dancing to the point where he refuses to marry a good woman simple because she dances, is dancing at his friends bachelor party. You can’t make this up. I am so happy that Karma chose her happiness over him.”

With no breakthrough in their conflict, Karma and Ammar called it quits for their relationship during the holiday segment. You can tune in to their drama on Netflix.
