Love is Blind, Habibi‘, hosted by celebrity couple Elham Ali and Khaled Saqer, released on Netflix in October. In the show’s ninth episode, three engaged couples revealed their decision to get married or not. One of the couples was French-born Saudi-Marrocan content creator Dounia and Senegalese Lebanese entrepreneur Chafic.

Despite being in love, the couple decided not to tie the knot on the wedding day. The reason, you ask? They wanted to know each other better before taking the massive step. In the ‘Love is Blind, Habibi‘ reunion episode, it was confirmed that Chafic and Dounia are still going strong.

Many were surprised to find out that they were still together. The couple faced backlash for multiple reasons, and continue to do so. Now, in a recent video shared by Dounia on her YouTube channel, the couple revealed whether or not the online negativity affects their relationship.

Chafic said, “Love is Blind is done. Listen, even the people who die we still have them in our minds but we forget them somehow. I don’t have time to read (comments). We have our own personal stuff, and projects. So, we cannot be liked by everyone. If you hate me, don’t look at me.”

Dounia added, “I have an experience of using social media for three and a half years but he just got into it. But he’s very strong-minded and he helped me a lot.”

The couple recently got engaged and planning to get married soon. And honestly, we can’t wait for it.
