The alleged dating controversy involving Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Sae-ron has taken aback the entire South Korean showbiz. The scandalous revelation comes only a month after Sae-ron was found dead at her apartment in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, on February 16. Amid this, the late actress’ aunt has made a series of shocking claims against Kim Soo-hyun in a video posted on YouTube channel Garosero Research Institute on March 10.
It has been reportedly alleged in the video that Soo-hyun was romantically involved with Sae-ron for six years before breaking up in 2022, after the latter’s DUI scandal. In an explosive reveal, the aunt has claimed Soo-hyun began dating the late actress when she was 15, a minor, and he was already 27.
The revelation has sent shockwaves through the industry and social media, with the internet expressing outrage and disgust, with Soo-hyun facing tremendous backlash. While the ‘Queen of Tears’ actor has officially denied the allegations, a shocking kissing photo of Soo-hyun and Sae-ron has made matters worse.
The viral photo is circulating alongside a screenshot of a text allegedly sent by Sae-ron to the ‘Queen of Tears’ star, where the late actress is “begging” for his help. Sae-ron, who was struggling financially, worked under Soo-hyun’s company GOLDMEDALIST, and the firm was reportedly asking the actress to pay the hefty fine caused by her DUI scandal.
Meanwhile, in an official statement GOLDMEDALIST has called all the allegations lamented against Soo-hyun “fake and baseless.”
“In their broadcast, it was alleged that our company and Kim Soo Hyun colluded with YouTuber Lee Jin Ho to harass the late actress Kim Sae Ron. They also claimed that Kim Soo Hyun and the late Kim Sae Ron were in a romantic relationship starting when she was 15 years old, that our company acted improperly in handling the aftermath of Kim Sae Ron’s DUI incident, and that a manager from our company has a close relationship with YouTuber Lee Jin Ho. These malicious claims directed at our company and actor Kim Soo Hyun are entirely false and cannot be tolerated under any circumstances. We are currently reviewing the strongest possible legal actions against HoverLab Inc. for spreading these falsehoods,” said the company.
Meanwhile, Sae-ron’s aunt has publicly claimed she has over 200 intimate photos of Soo-hyun and Sae-ron to prove they were dating.
