‘It Ends With Us’ director Justin Baldoni’s mother is defending her son amid his legal battle with co-star Blake Lively. The actor-director who turned 41 on Friday, received a supportive message from his mom, Sharon Baldoni, on social media. In the birthday tribute, Sharon spoke about “justice and truth” by indirectly alluding to the highly-publicized legal battle.
Sharon made comparisons to Justin’s previous project ‘Jane The Virgin’ highlighting how the working environment on the set was amiable and positive. “Happy Birthday Justin ~ remembering a wonderful moment after the final ending of ‘Jane The Virgin’ – a moment where joy and love permeated the set, where friendships and family were born and kindness and integrity permeated the hearts of all the actors and crew, where sadness only entered because it was the final scene of a wonderful journey~ and the beginning of the rest of our lives,” she wrote alongside a series of photos from the sets of the movie.
Sharon continued, “A happy loving and generous memory with hearts exploding with possibilities. Life has its moments and also its surprises- as you keep your integrity through it all Justice and truth will shine today and into eternity. I love you more than you will ever know! Happy Birthday my beautiful boy! May God continue to bless you in truth.”
Blake Lively has filed a legal complaint against Justin Baldoni alleging sexual harassment and organizing a smear campaign to “destroy” her reputation. According to the complaint filed with the California civil rights department, Lively accuses the director and his team of attacking her public image after a meeting where she brought her husband Ryan Reynolds to allegedly speak of the repeated “sexual harassment” and disturbing behaviour she endured on the sets of It Ends With Us.
