Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga starrer ‘Joker: Folie à Deux‘ was finally released worldwide a few days ago. The Todd Phillips’ directorial left many disappointed due to multiple reasons. The sequel is not doing well at the box office.

According to reports, Lady Gaga, who plays Harley Quinn, is quite ‘disappointed’ and ‘shocked’ by the response. DailyMail quoted a source saying, “Gaga is surprised by the response to Joker 2 and is shocked that people don’t love it after the response it received from critics before it premiered. She put so much heart into the movie and has so much respect for the DC comics fan base.”

The ‘Poker’ singer has delivered a terrific performance as Harley Quinn, but it wasn’t enough to save the film.

The source further added that Gaga is ‘disappointed that Joker sequel is pretty much a bomb’. The singer thought this film could get her an Oscar nomination, especially since the first part was a massive success and Joaquin won the Academy Award for Best Actor. Much to her surprise, ‘Joker’ sequel has failed to live up to fans’ expectations.

Joker: Folie à Deux‘ picks off where the first part ended. Arthur Fleck aka Joker is institutionalized at Arkham, awaiting trial for his crime where he meets the love of his life, Harley Quinn.
