Starring Jaoquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga in the lead, Joker: Folie à Deux, is set two years after Arthur Fleck (the assumed Joker) shoots host Murray Franklin on live TV. He is locked up in the psychiatric asylum of Arkham State Hospital, awaiting his trial. But in the outside world Joker becomes a media sensation, an object of obsession by fans especially Harleen “Lee” Quinzel aka Lady Gaga’s Harley Quinn.
They fall deeply in love or to be accurate Lee develops an attraction toward Arthur’s alter personality Joker. As their romance blooms, Lee also attends Joker’s ‘Trial of the Century’ in the Gotham courthouse. But just before the trial began, there was supposed to be a scene of Lady Gaga kissing a woman as she walked the staircase of the courthouse. Videos and photos of the moment went insanely viral on social media previously, thereby garnering hype from fans.

Unfortunately, the scene did not make it to the final cut and Joker 2 director Todd Phillips recently explained why. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, he said, “It had dialogue in it, and, all of a sudden, I wanted it to be more of a music and vibe moment. For that moment to have played, it needed dialogue behind it. Meaning, the woman said something, and then Gaga stopped and did this thing, and it just kind of got in the way of the moment.”
