It was shocking to learn that Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck filed for divorce in August two years after marriage. In a recent conversation with Interview Magazine’s Nikki Glaser, JLo opened up about the ‘hardest time of her life’.

The ‘On The Floor’ singer admitted that her ‘whole f—ing world exploded’ when the divorce began and she went through the end of her marriage in the public eye. Jennifer spoke about being blamed for the divorce by strangers online and receiving hate for it. She said, “I know that everything that’s being written and said about me, and all the conjecture of who I am as a person, is not who I am. I learned that a long time ago.”

JLo added that she doesn’t take social media seriously as she knows she’s a ‘good person and good mom’. During the candid conversation, Jennifer also shared how cancelling her ‘This Is Me…Live’ tour was ‘absolutely necessary’ because of what she was going through at that time. “It was the hardest time of my life, but also the best, because I was able to do that work on myself,” added JLo.

Jennifer, mother to twins, Max and Emme with ex-husband Marc Anthony, also mentioned that she’s not interested in dating right now. “There’s no new bar because I’m not looking for anybody. I’m focused on flying solo,” added the singer.

Jennifer and Ben first dated in the early 2000s and were engaged too but called it quits in 2004. They came back together in 2021 and tied the knot in 2022. However, in August of this year, JLo filed for divorce and stated ‘irreconcilable differences’ as the reason she wanted to end the relationship.
