A recent report indicates that although there has been a general decline in sales, Apple’s iPad continues to maintain a steady performance, ranking just behind the iPhone. The iPad holds a significant share of the US market; however, its overall sales have been decreasing, and the latest models have reportedly not succeeded in reversing this trend.

Nevertheless, the Consumer Intelligence Research Partners (CIRP) asserts in its new report that iPad sales remain largely stable. As Apple does not provide comprehensive sales data, insights such as those from CIRP are derived from surveys.
It is important to note that CIRP does not disclose specific sales figures, relying instead on percentages to illustrate the differences among iPad models. For example, it states that the iPad Pro is the leading model in Apple’s tablet range, with nearly 50% of all iPad units sold in the most recent quarter being iPad Pro models.
The standard iPad experienced robust demand, securing approximately one-third of the overall iPad sales. In contrast, the iPad Air has experienced a significant reduction in its market share, representing around 13% of unit sales, a decline from nearly 25% in the previous year.
While CIRP’s report does not provide specific figures, it is said to reflect sales for the quarter ending in September.
Apple has reported that Q4 2024 generated iPad sales revenue of $6.95 billion, indicating a 7.9% increase compared to the same quarter in 2023.

Although there has been an increase, iPad revenue remains considerably lower than that of the iPhone, which earned $43.81 billion during the same timeframe. According to CIRP, however, iPad revenue still surpasses that of the Mac.
