A user on Reddit has indicated that the new software update may be adversely affecting the Instagram app (as reported by PhoneArena). The individual noted that the Android 15 update is causing significant disruptions while using the application.
Specifically, on the Redditor’s Pixel 9, the user known as “Iamnotindanger” reported an inability to swipe between Stories within the app. This issue does not seem to be unique, as another user, “TheNewtBeGaming,” has also experienced similar problems with key features of Instagram becoming unresponsive.
Instagram Stories are experiencing freezing issues, which hinder swipe functionality. Additionally, several users on Reddit have reported encountering the same difficulties while utilizing the Instagram application. Currently, the most advisable action is to submit reports to Instagram regarding this matter.
It is also prudent to verify whether your Instagram application is updated, as older versions may not be fully compatible with the latest Android updates. It is generally recommended to keep applications on your smartphone current to prevent potential issues with new software updates and to receive important security enhancements when available.
