‘House of the Dragon’ season 3 goes on floors; Emma D’Arcy teases ‘fight for the Throne is far from over’

House of the Dragon‘ fans rejoice as season 3 filming has begun. The show’s official Instagram page shared a video of Emma D’Arcy, who plays Rhaenyra Targaryen, sharing the news with fans.

In the video, Emma says, “House of the Dragon is back in production. Here we are on day one of season 3. Action!” The caption read, “The fight for the Throne is far from over. S3 of #HOTD is now in production.”

Fans flooded the comment section, expressing excitement for the upcoming series. A fan wrote, “Yasssssssss Queen is back.” Another one commented, “My Queen is back!” “So excited,” wrote a fan. Another one commented, “Wooow, so excited for the new season!”

According to the reports, the cast is currently shooting for their parts in the UK.

Emma D’Arcy will return alongside Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Steve Toussaint, Rhys Ifans, Fabien Frankel, Ewan Mitchell, Tom Glynn-Carney, Harry Collett, Bethany Antonia, Phoebe Campbell, Phia Saban, Jefferson Hall, Tom Bennett, Matthew Needham, Kieran Bew, Clinton Liberty, Gayle Rankin, and Abubakar Salim among others.

Besides the original cast members, Tommy Flanagan and Dan Fogler have joined the new season. The actors will play Ser Roderick Dustin and Ser Torrhen Manderly, respectively.

There’s no release date for ‘House of the Dragon‘ season 3 yet, but it is expected to be released in 2026.
