Gun fired in Thompson hospital: RCMP

Manitoba RCMP is investigating after a gun was fired at the chapel in a Thompson hospital on Christmas Eve.


The investigation began around 4 p.m. on Tuesday when RCMP received a report of the incident at the Thompson General Hospital.


When officers got to the scene, the suspect had already been detained by hospital security.


Police investigated and determined that a suspect shot a gun in the chapel, causing a hole in the window.


No one was hurt and the weapon was seized.


A 33-year-old Thompson man is facing several charges, including discharging a firearm while being reckless and careless use of a firearm.
