‘Govt. will spare no effort in combating impact of climate change’

The Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) of the Ministry of Power has called for a nationwide movement on a sustainable basis to combat climate change and protect the environment.

In this regard, BEE media adviser (South) A. Chandra Sekhar Reddy met Special Chief Secretary (Energy) K. Vijayanand at the Secretariat during the National Energy Conservation Week and discussed the required communication strategies.

Mr. Vijayanand highlighted the State’s commitments to the implementation of energy efficiency measures, production of green energy and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

He stated that the government would spare no effort in taking measures to fight the adverse impacts of climate change, with focus on Mission LiFE. Efforts were being made to attract huge investments into the energy efficiency programme, he said.

During the meeting, Mr. Vijayanand released a poster on Significance of Addressing Climate Change for Balancing Environment. A.P. State Energy Conservation Mission CEO B.A.V.P. Kumar Reddy was present.
