Prior to any official announcement, a collection of computer-aided design (CAD) renders of the forthcoming Pixel device has emerged online, revealing a notable alteration to its rear panel. The Pixel 9a is anticipated to come equipped with Android 15 and the Tensor G4 processor.
Android Headlines has obtained images of the yet-to-be-announced Pixel 9a in collaboration with well-known tipster OnLeaks. The CAD renders indicate that the device lacks a camera bar or the traditional visor; instead, the cameras are integrated flush with the back panel.
A pill-shaped module now houses the two camera sensors, replacing the signature visor. The design of the Pixel 9a bears resemblance to the LG V60 ThinQ, featuring distinct yet uniform side bezels and flat edges. Overall, the appearance of the phone aligns closely with that of the other models in the Pixel 9 series.
The Pixel 9a is anticipated to launch with Android 15 and will receive seven years of updates, similar to its predecessor. The new operating system is projected to begin its rollout on October 15.
According to the report, this device may be the final Google product to feature a Samsung-designed Tensor chip, as Google plans to transition to TSMC for its future processors in 2025.

The anticipated specifications of the Pixel 9a are likely to mirror those of the Pixel 8a. The Pixel 8a features a 6.1-inch display, 8GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage, a 4,492mAh battery, and support for 18W wired fast charging. While the Pixel 8a is powered by a Tensor G3 SoC, the forthcoming model is expected to be equipped with a Tensor G4 chipset.
