Dubai Bling star Mona Kattan, who is also the owner of the fragrance line Kayali, marked one year of the devastating Hamas attack on Israel on Monday, October 7. The deadly onslaught didn’t only trigger a war but also sparked worldwide protests to stop the atrocities gripping the Middle East. According to Reuters, Hamas’ attack last year resulted in the death of 1200 people with approximately 250 taken as hostages to Gaza.

A number of memorial ceremonies and protests erupted in Jerusalem and Israel on Monday at 6.29 am, the same hour when Hamas launched its rocket attacks on Israel last year. Reflecting on the devastating atrocities, reality star Mona Kattan shared a strong message of hope and peace amid the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict.

“One year later, and the heartbreak remains. The world may have woken up on October 7, 2023, but for Palestinians, this pain has endured for generations. As someone with Iraqi roots, I’ve seen war, loss, and oppression impact my own family, and this suffering strikes a deeply personal chord. I stand with Palestine, with all who are struggling for peace, dignity, justice and freedom,” she wrote on Instagram.

Mona Kattan added, “My heart aches for every soul living through this unimaginable hardship. I won’t stop praying, hoping, or believing in a future where justice finally prevails for Palestine and for everyone. Remember, we are not free until Palestine is free. Ceasefire now.” In the caption segment, she spoke about how the struggle continues even after a year and so does her hope for peace.

In the latest development of the Israel-Hamas conflict, more than 1 million people have been displaced after a mass flight was triggered in southern Lebanon due to Israel’s attack, killing over 1000 people in the past two weeks, as per Reuters. Israel assassinated Hezbollah and Hamas chiefs over the past few months along with executing bomb attacks with pagers and radios, which prompted missile attacks from Iran in retaliation.
