The entire UAE is currently busy watching the drama unfold on Netflix’s ‘Love is Blind, Habibi’ and so is Dubai Bling couple Safa and Fahad Siddiqui. The Middle East edition of the dating reality series is hosted by celebrity couple Khaled Saqer and Elham Ali, where Arab singles connect and commit to marriage but sight unseen.

Safa and Fahad Siddiqui reacted to the unique concept of the Netflix show in an Instagram video where Safa revealed, “This is literally how my parents met, they didn’t even see each other.” When asked if they think sight-unseen marriages last longer, Safa agreed, “I think yes. I think love is about what’s in your heart.”

Fahad seconded her opinion, “The connection that you have is much deeper that way. When you don’t have a picture of a person but you connect emotionally, and intellectually with somebody. I think it’s a better chance on a lasting relationship.”

Safa highlighted that marriage requires “compromise” and making “small changes” and adjustments are fine but “changing your whole identity” is a straight no for her. She thinks that this generation has foolish expectations because of social media. Safa advised, “Never compare yourselves to another couple.”

Safa and Fahad Siddiqui seem to be close to Safa and Mohammed from Love is Blind, Habibi as the Dubai Bling stars were in attendance when the duo tied the knot.

An 11,000-year-old pre-contact settlement was discovered in January 2025 near Sturgeon Lake First Nation, about five kilometres north of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. One of the oldest known Indigenous sites on the continent, it confirms that highly organized societies existed in the region far earlier than previously believed. Findings include stone tools, fire pits and lithic materials used in toolmaking. Charcoal layers indicate early Indigenous inhabitants practised fire management, and the discovery of large bison remains provides insight into early hunting techniques and the evolution of the species.
