These symptoms can include slow or no breathing; gurgling, gasping or snoring; clammy and cool skin; blue lips or nails; and difficulty waking up or staying awake.
If you suspect someone is overdosing or has overdosed, you should call 9-1-1 right away.
“You might be the difference in saving a life,” police said.
Police also said the Good Samaritan Overdose Act offers some legal protection to anyone who has overdosed, or witnesses an overdose, and seeks emergency help.
Saskatoon police say their investigation is ongoing, and is asking anyone with information to contact the SPS at 306-975-8300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
Saskatchewan Coroner’s Service estimates there have been over 150 drug toxicity deaths in the province so far in 2024.
