Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman starrer ‘Deadpool & Wolverine‘ was released worldwide in July. Apart from Ryan and Hugh’s bromance, the Shawn Levy directorial film grabbed attention for the great cameos. The latest MCU film featured Jennifer Garner as Elektra, Channing Tatum as Gambit, Chris Evans as Johnny Storm, and Wesley Snipes as Blade. While fans were happy to see them, many felt Josh Brolin’s return as Cable would’ve made ‘Deadpool & Wolverine‘ even more exciting and fun to watch.

Brolin’s Cable was one of the main characters of ‘Deadpool 2‘. On October 9, Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld shared his thoughts on Cable not being a part of ‘Deadpool & Wolverine‘. He wrote, “It’s such a missed opportunity to not get Josh Brolin rolling on a bunch of Cable/X-Force film. Full stop.”

According to Liefeld, Marvel should not only bring back Josh as Cable but also have the actor appear in multiple Cable/X-Force films. We hope Marvel Studios’ Chief Kevin Feige is listening.

Reacting to Rob’s X (formerly known as Twitter) post, one user wrote, “Hopefully Marvel can bring him into the MCU. He was a perfect Cable.” Another one commented, “Fully agree.” “Honestly, was the only thing I was bummed about in D&W was Brolin’s absence as Cable (the nod to him in the film was appreciated, but not the same). Hope we get more opportunities for him @VancityReynolds,” wrote an X user.

Deadpool & Wolverine‘ did exceptionally well at the box office. Given the success of the film, we might get ‘Deadpool & Wolverine 2′. And if that happens, we would love to see Cable.
