In August, BTS’ Suga landed in controversy after he was caught drunk driving an e-scooter. The rapper apologised for his ‘wrongful behaviour’ multiple times and cooperated fully with the police officers. According to the latest update, Suga has been reportedly fined $11, 491 (AED 42, 206) for riding an e-scooter under the influence by the Seoul Court.

With this, the case is now closed. The rapper can finally breathe a sigh of relief and fans are beyond happy. Amid this, ‘Suga Stays’ and ‘We Love You Yoongi’ are a few hashtags trending on X (formerly known as Twitter) to show their support for the BTS member.

An ARMY wrote, “We love you Yoongi. Yoongi never walks alone.” Another one commented, “BTS is 7… 7 or nothing… We love you Yoongi.”

Earlier, there were plenty of rumours surrounding Suga’s return as a host on his show ‘Suchwita’, where he serves drinks and has deep conversations with his guests. Now that the case is closed, fans are positive about his return to the show after his military discharge in 2025.

What really happened? On August 6, Suga was riding an electric scooter home, and after taking a turn, he fell in front of his residence. A nearby police officer came to assist him when he noticed that he was drunk. A breathalyzer test was conducted and the rapper was taken to a police station. Suga apologised several times for his behaviour. Talking about his members in the apology note, Suga wrote, “I’m sorry that the members who always trusted me have a hard time because of me.”

The rapper enlisted in the military in September 2023 and is expected to return in 2025.
