A 53-year-old French woman named Anne was scammed by a fake Brad Pitt a few days ago. After exchanging messages for over a year, the woman was convinced they were in love. The scammer used AI-generated photos and claimed he was undergoing cancer treatment and couldn’t access his accounts due to his divorce. Anne realized she was being fooled after seeing the real Brad Pitt with his girlfriend, Ines de Ramon, on the news.
Now, Brad has warned his fans about scammers. The actor’s representative told Entertainment Weekly, “It’s awful that scammers take advantage of the strong bond between fans and celebrities. This is an important reminder not to respond to unsolicited online messages, especially from actors who are not present on social networks.”
A French woman reportedly divorced her millionaire husband then was scammed out of $850k by a fake Brad Pitt.

The Oscar winner does not have verified accounts on major social media platforms including Instagram, TikTok, and X (formerly known as Twitter).
How ‘fake’ Brad Pitt duped Anne of $850k (approx. AED 3.1 million)? It all started when Anne took a luxurious ski trip to Tignes in 2023. The French interior designer’s post on Instagram briefly described her luxurious lifestyle, grabbing the scammer’s attention. An account posing as Pitt’s mother Jane Etta Pitt, messaged Anne. The scammer told Anne that ‘her son’ needed someone like her. Though initially hesitant, Anne was convinced by the fake person that she was talking to the Hollywood star after she received Al-generated photos and voice messages.

The scammer claimed that the actor was suffering from kidney cancer and forced her to spend over $850,000 for his treatments. If that wasn’t enough, the scammer shared AI-generated photos of Pitt from the hospital bed. It was only when she saw photos of Pitt and his girlfriend, she realized she had been a victim of a scam.
