Shah Rukh Khan, the Baadshah of Bollywood, landed in the United Arab Emirates on Thursday, September 26. The superstar was spotted arriving in Abu Dhabi ahead of IIFA 2024, the award function he is set to host alongside director Karan Johar. King Khan was surrounded by heavy security from all sides as he waved and smiled at fans in a heartwarming gesture.

What also stole the limelight was his off-duty look, rocking a simple white t-shirt paired with denims and a black cap by D’Yavol X, a brand launched by his son Aryan Khan. The minimal and comfy fit was accessorized with sunglasses and casual sneakers. He was flocked by fans and photographers alike on his way to the hotel, where a sweet surprise awaited him.

IIFA warmly welcomed the superstar in Abu Dhabi by filling his room with mouthwatering snacks and customised sweets. On Instagram, IIFA’s official account shared a sneak peek of SRK’s room where a chocolate platter, a customised cake featuring his film posters, a special greeting card, and a plethora of munchies and snacks were stored to give his luxurious stay a delicious twist.

It is also suggested that Bollywood biggie Salman Khan might assist his buddy SRK on the IIFA stage. The co-founder of the award function, Andrea Timmins told Instant Bollywood, “Salman is family, and we’ve known each other for over 30 years. He’s been a part of every IIFA show, and we definitely miss him. It has always been my dream to get Salman and Shah Rukh Khan together on the IIFA stage.” Andrea added, “Maybe he’ll surprise us and drop in on the 28th.”

IIFA 2024 is scheduled to take place between September 27 to September 29.
