In 2023, BLACKPINK members renewed their contracts with YG Entertainment for group activities, but they did not renew their individual contracts. Since then, the members have been doing their own thing and enjoying their solo careers.

In July of this year, YG Entertainment founder Yang Hyun-suk shared that the K-pop band will release new music and embark on a music tour in 2025. “There will be a highly-anticipated comeback from BLACKPINK. And it will also be the year BLACKPINK starts their world tour,” said Yang Hyun-suk.

Now, in a recent interview with Billboard, Lisa was asked about the upcoming reunion, confirming the group will reunite in 2025. “I can’t wait,” said Lisa. But when asked about the world tour, Lisa responded by saying, “That’s what they say?” LLOUD’s Alice Kang added, “I don’t know… we’ll have to wait and see what YG confirms.”

Given Lisa’s response, fans wonder if YG was lying. A fan took to X (formerly known as Twitter) and wrote, “YG keeps releasing that tour & comeback news so their stocks don’t fall. Lisa & her team don’t know about that.” Another one wrote, “YG announced BLACKPINK’s world tour for 2025 every time they can, yet the members themselves had no clue. At this point, it sounds like they’re just throwing it out there to reel in more investors. “Do the BP girls even know?” isn’t just a joke anymore, shockingly enough.” Many accused YG Entertainment of lying.

This year, Lisa dropped three songs – ‘Rockstar‘, ‘New Woman‘, and ‘Moonlit Floor‘. The K-pop idol is set to release her new album soon.

On the other hand, Lisa is set to make her acting debut with HBO’s ‘The White Lotus‘ season 3, slated to release in 2025.
