Asus ROG Phone 9 design and features leaked ahead of November 19 launch

The Asus ROG Phone 9 series is set to be launched in select global markets on November 19. The company has officially teased several key features of this lineup. Additionally, new information regarding the upcoming devices, along with an image showcasing their design, has emerged online.

However, Asus has not yet disclosed the total number of models in the series or their specific names. It is anticipated that the series will include a standard variant and a Pro version, following the Asus ROG Phone 8 and Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro. A design leak shared by the tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo revealed the Asus ROG Phone 9 in both black and white color options, featuring a rear camera module design reminiscent of the current ROG Phone 8.

The company logo is prominently displayed in the center of the rear panel, with mini LEDs located towards the bottom. The tipster also indicated that the Asus ROG Phone 9 will feature a 185Hz LTPO flat display. It is expected to have an IP68-rated construction for dust and water resistance, along with an enhanced AniMe Vision feature.

Furthermore, the device is rumored to incorporate AI capabilities. The Asus ROG Phone 9 series is confirmed to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, equipped with AI-enhanced cameras and AniMe Vision support. Previous leaks have suggested that the base model will offer 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage.

The device is likely to be supported by a 5,800mAh battery with 65W wired charging capabilities. It is expected to run on Android 15 with the ROG UI.

The Asus ROG Phone 9 is anticipated to feature a 6.78-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,400 pixels) Samsung Flexible LTPO AMOLED display, boasting a peak brightness of 2,500 nits, Gorilla Glass Victus protection, always-on display functionality, and HDR10 support. For security purposes, it is expected to include an in-display fingerprint sensor.
