According to Mark Gurman in this week’s Power On newsletter, the Mac Studio is anticipated to be released around mid-2025, potentially debuting in June during WWDC, while the Mac Pro is expected to launch in the latter half of 2025. This differentiation between mid-year and the second half indicates that the Mac Pro is likely to be introduced in the fall of 2025.
Both the Mac Pro and the Mac Studio will be equipped with Apple’s forthcoming M4 Ultra chips, which have not yet been officially revealed. To date, the only version of the M4 chip that has been released is the standard variant, which is featured in the iPad Pro.
Apple is preparing to unveil new MacBook Pro, Mac mini, and iMac models powered by M4 chips in October, with the MacBook Air scheduled for release in early 2025.
Meanwhile, the packaging for the 14-inch MacBook Pro may have been disclosed prior to the expected event in October. After its omission from the September “Glowtime” iPhone 16 event, announcements regarding updates to the Mac and iPad product lines are anticipated during a later gathering.
Given the probability of an October event, it seems that at least one Mac product line is set to receive an update. A recent post on X by the prominent leaker “VNChocoTaco” features an image that could represent a sticker designed for the back of a MacBook Pro packaging.
The sticker’s label denotes compatibility with a 14-inch MacBook Pro equipped with an M4 chip, 16GB of RAM, and 512GB of storage.
It is crucial to recognize that this configuration may not represent the base model of the MacBook Pro, as the M3 variant provided memory options of 8GB, 16GB, and 24GB.

The other specifications mentioned seem to closely match the current model, which includes three Thunderbolt 4 ports, an HDMI port, an SDXC card slot, and MagSafe 3.
