Packaging for the 14-inch MacBook Pro may have been revealed in advance of the anticipated October event. Following its absence at the September “Glowtime” iPhone 16 event, updates to the Mac and iPad lines are expected to be announced during a subsequent event.

With the likelihood of an October gathering, it appears that at least one Mac line will receive an update. A recent post on X by well-known leaker “VNChocoTaco” includes an image that may depict a sticker intended for the back of a MacBook Pro box.

The label on the sticker indicates compatibility with a 14-inch MacBook Pro featuring an M4 chip, 16GB of RAM, and 512GB of storage.

It is important to note that this configuration may not correspond to the base model of the MacBook Pro, as the M3 variant offered memory options of 8GB, 16GB, and 24GB.

The remaining specifications listed appear to align closely with the current model, featuring three Thunderbolt 4 ports, an HDMI port, an SDXC card slot, and MagSafe 3.

Although the image appears to be properly arranged and is positioned above an Apple security strip, there is no assurance of its authenticity.

The one who shared the leak acknowledges, “Not confirmed, take it with a pinch of salt. I received this.” There exists a market for counterfeit Apple product security strips, allowing fraudsters to empty a box and substitute it with an item of similar weight, along with a forged security strip.

Additionally, there seems to be a typographical error. A blurred portion of text appears to indicate that the box contains a “16-inch MacBook Pro.”

Nevertheless, while the authenticity of the leaked sticker remains uncertain, it presents a credible set of specifications, aside from the previously mentioned inclusion of the 16-inch MacBook Pro.

Furthermore, it originates from a relatively prolific leaker with a solid track record, and it largely corresponds to the current-generation MacBook Pro, which would be expected for a specification update.
