Anthony Mackie teases ‘Avengers: Doomsday’: ‘It will give audiences that old Marvel feeling’

‘Avengers: Doomsday’ is one of the most awaited films. The Russo Brothers’ directorial features an ensemble star cast. Anthony Mackie, who played Sam Wilson in ‘Captain America: Brave New World‘, is set to reprise his role. In a recent interview with IGN, Mackie revealed that he will start shooting the MCU epic soon.

“Everybody’s excited. I feel with the script and having the Russo brothers back, it’s going to be great. I’m really excited for what this project is going to be,” said Anthony.

The actor further added that the upcoming film is ‘going to give the audience that old Marvel feeling that they always had.’

Besides Mackie, ‘Avengers: Doomsday‘ will also feature Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Danny Ramirez as Joaquin Torres, Sebastian Stan as Winter Soldier, Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, Channing Tatum as Gambit, and Simu Liu as Shang-Chi.

Several actors including Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Kelsey Grammer, Alan Cumming, Rebecca Romjin, and James Marsden, Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Julia Garner are also a part of the film. Robert Downey Jr will also be seen in ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ but as Doctor Doom, not Iron Man.

Avengers: Doomsday‘ will be released in 2026, followed by ‘Avengers: Secret Wars‘ in 2027.
