BTS rapper Suga has been embroiled in yet another controversy over a reported dispute with his former neighbours. Multiple Korean media outlets suggest the conflict was allegedly also the reason why he decided to relocate from his previous residence.

He was staying at a luxurious property at Hannam Riverhill but the K-pop idol moved out in 2021 over an alleged dispute with other residents, as per Biz Hankook. Post which, the Haegum rapper signed a long-term lease for a residence in Park Hannam but he vacated the property in May 2024, the reason behind him moving out remains unclear.

The revelation has sparked social media chatter about his conflict with the neighbours but the K-pop idol’s loyal fans have come out in support of him.

Previously, the rapper of the K-pop supergroup has been facing intense media scrutiny ever since he was caught drunk driving an electric scooter on August 6. The Haegeum hitmaker fell from the vehicle while intoxicated and subsequently failed a breathalyser test, showing he was over the blood-alcohol limit

Suga, who is currently on a music hiatus to fulfil his mandatory military service, has since apologised and admitted to the traffic rule violation. South Korean authorities have fined him and also revoked his driving licence. On August 23, Suga visited a Seoul police station for investigation where he bowed down in front of cameras apologising for hurting fans.

For those unaware, the K-pop idol’s initial apology caused a massive uproar on social media, prompting fans to send protest trucks and condolences flowers outside the HYBE headquarters. Protestors demanded Suga’s removal from BTS accusing him and HBYE of downplaying the incident and releasing false statements.
