Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan will host the International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) with filmmaker-producer Karan Johar in Abu Dhabi. It looks like another Bollywood superstar will join SRK on the IIFA stage. And yes, we are talking about Salman Khan.
Andrea Timmins, co-founder of IIFA, recently teased fans about a potential appearance by the Dabangg star on stage with the King of Bollywood. In an interview with Instant Bollywood, Andrea said, “Salman is family, and we’ve known each other for over 30 years. He’s been a part of every IIFA show, and we definitely miss him. It has always been my dream to get Salman and Shah Rukh Khan together on the IIFA stage.”
Andrea further added that due to Bhaijaan’s busy schedule, he might not be able to attend the event. But wait, there’s more! The co-founder hinted at Salman’s surprise saying, “Maybe he’ll surprise us and drop in on the 28th.” SRK and Salman together on the IIFA stage? Oh yes, we would love that!
For the uninitiated, the 24th edition of the IIFA festival will be a three-day affair, running from September 27 to September 29.
SRK arrived in Abu Dhabi on Thursday, September 26, for the IIFA Awards. In the photos shared on X (formerly known as Twitter), SRK received a warm welcome from the organizers.
